Vintage Elgin American Carryall
The compact lid is decorated with micro ball flowers on a textured & painted background
Inside is a mirror, powder compartment with puff, pillbox, cigarette compartment (under the mirror), and a lipstick tube;
*There is powder in the compact, but due to its age, it is NOT intended for use*.
It is made of gold-tone / brass-tone metal;
It measures approx. 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1"
The purse / carrying case is covered in black fabric;
It has a snap-close pocket on the back with a compartment for a 4 1/2" long comb;
It measures approx. 4 1/2" x 2 3/4" x 1 3/4" (not including the handle);
The handle drop is approx. 4 3/4"
Condition: there is an area of discoloration on the lid (see photo 2, right side); the metal has a few spots of discoloration and some minor scuffs/scratches; the mirror has a few very small dark spots; the purse has some edge wear (mostly along the opt inside edge (see photo 12), the fabric inside has started to detach (see photo 12); the box has some shelf wear.
