Vintage Horse Hair Compact Powder Puff Compact

Description

This is an extremely rare vintage/antique square horse hair compact w/makeup powder puff & compartment, and mirror. It has a zipper closure with a suede tassel. The zipper pull is marked Astro. The makeup puff is stamped Tfoi (of Ffoi). It has a screen type cover that lays over the powder or limits the amount of powder that the puff picks up.
This compact measures 3 1/2" x 3 1/2".
I cannot find any information about this compact and guess it to be from the 1940's. It may be older though.
There is some wear and hair loss on the edges, back and spine, some darkening around the edges of the mirror, and some discoloration on the cream fabric border of the pressed powder.
