1950s Basket Weave Compact Purse Minaudiere
This is a fabulous compartment compact purse in a striking woven gold tone metal pattern. It has release buttons on top for both sides with one side opening to a mirror, place for powder, comb and lipstick holder and the other side an elaborate holder for cigarettes or cash against a circular pattern background. THE GOLDTONE BAR ON THE CIGARETTE SIDE DOES NOT COME OUT.
The compact has a top mesh snake chain handle.
Since used, the buyer, should expect item included to show various signs of wear associated with previous use. This includes stains, scruffs, pilling, thinned fabric, colored faded, worn tags or clipped tags, scratching/tarnishing/discolouration and other signs of age/use.
