Vintage Art deco Rex Fifth avenue Black Enamel and Brass powder compact

Description

This lovely compact has been around for about 80 years and has likely attended some interesting parties!
The top is a pretty jet black enamel with a raised flower of brass in the center and a braid of brass around the edge.
It opens to a large mirror and the original powder puff marked "FIFTH Rex AVENUE"; underneath is the gauze sifter and some of the original powder. This Art Deco compact measures 4 inches round, and stands about 3/8 inches tall. I
t is in very good vintage condition with some very minor wear. It still opens and closes easily. Perfect for the discerning compact collector or anyone who appreciates Art Deco items.
