Rare Vintage Wadsworth "Pandora" compact Minaudiere Purse Carryall, w/ Sling Velvet Bag
A ladies evening minaudiere with original box. "Pandora by Wadsworth." The small evening compact features three compartments. When opened, the center features a loose powder compartment and original cotton buffer with mirror. The top compartment features a lipstick holder with a comb. The compact is accompanied by a black velvet and white silk carrying case terminating in a black tassel. The case features a gold metal ring that closes down below the wrist to hold the case in place. Rare vintage 1950s Wadsworth "Pandora" Purse Carryall, w/ Sling Velvet Bag in original box was featured in the Collector's Encyclopedia of Compacts Carryalls & Face Powder Boxes by Laura M. Mueller.
A few years ago a Pandora Purse by Wadsworth was auctioned belonging to Marilyn Monroe and sold for 7,000!!!! While this is obviously not Marilyn’s, it could be yours!!
