    Description

    Beautiful large compact with the unusual attribute of having the insignia of the British Royal Marines in the center of an ivory colored enamel top.  I can only guess that this was a gift to either a high ranking female officer or maybe the wife of one in the middle of the century circa 1950's.  The color is more ivory, second picture is probably a better representation of the enamel.  Inside is a applicator with Masot on it so I assume thats the brand.  There is a sticker on the mirror that says genuine diamond facet cut.  The mirror is fine it is just covered in makeup.
    I have a near identical one also on sale but it does not have the white enamel top.  Likely a rare if not unique item.
    Large size measures 2 5/8" diameter.
