    Description

    Beautiful large compact with the unusual attribute of having the insignia of the British Royal Marines in the center of the top.  I can only guess that this was a gift to either a high ranking female officer or maybe the wife of one in the middle of the century circa 1950's.  I am sure this is a Mascot as I have a nearly identical one that has an appliicator with Masot on it in another listing.  The mirror is fine it is just covered in makeup.
    I have a near identical one also on sale but it has a white enamel top.  Likely a rare if not unique item.
    Large size measures 2 5/8" diameter.
