Antique 1950's Sterling Silver & Clear Lucite Lovebird Facial Powder Compact

1950s Sterling Silver & Clear Lucite facial powder compact
featuring Lovebirds. Their wings are intertwined lovingly on the front of a medallion that is encircled with a decorative edge (there is a STERLING mark on the medallion).
The compact opens up to a mirror on one side and what would have been the powder cavity on the other (sifter screen holder included). Such a sweet piece that is begging to be in your collection.

This was part of my antique purse and makeup vanity collection. I have chosen to sale all pieces so that someone else can now enjoy them as I have.
It features:
•  measures 2-7/8" W x 2-7/8" H. 5/8" deep closed
•  typical aging on clear Lucite with scratches from being in a purse or vanity drawer
•  inside is clean, mirror has some blemishes and age spot in the middle... you can still see in mirror
•  clip closes well
•  powder used/gone, but sifter screen holder still present
•  sterling silver medallion (marked STERLING - DES. PAT 140.637)
